Bergwiese-AlpenLodge „Zwölferkopf" – where mountain dreams come true

Family apartment of the Walser Lodge with a south balcony · 80 m² · 2–6 people · all year round · pet-free

📍 Austria · Vorarlberg · Kleinwalsertal · 1,100 m · 🏔️ Allgäuer Alpen

In the Kleinwalsertal in Vorarlberg, at an altitude of 1,100 m in Mittelberg-Höfle, you climb the stairs up to your 80 m² retreat for 2–6 people with a sunny south balcony. Once at the top, a wide view over blossoming meadows and summitswelcomes you, before you begin the day in the bright living and dining area with oak parquet and floor-to-ceiling windows.

For you and your family, children's toys and drawing materials are ready, so that little guests can be creative outside at the playground or inside on rainy days. The Bulthaup kitchen invites you to sociable evenings of local delicacies, the bedrooms with extra-long duvets provide a sense of security, and the modern bathroom with a level-access shower as well as an additional WC give relaxed comfort.

For children there is a playground close by, and a cot, high chair and bed rail are ready. In winter, toboggans and bum-sliders provide little snow adventures. After days in the mountains you enjoy the 24h panorama sauna with a relaxation room and sun terrace, where time and everyday life easily float away.

Four seasons, four summits in view

In spring the alpine meadows in front of your window shine with colourful blossoms, in summer you set off straight on a hike or ride out on the mountain bike. In autumn wafts of mist bathe the valley in mystical light, and in winter the ski bus takes you to the fun on the pistes, while the Wildental lift allows beginners safe turns.

From your south balcony you see the striking summits Widderstein, Zwölferkopf, Bärenkopf and Elferkopf. In summer, hiking trails lead you into the Schwarzwassertal or to the Walmendingerhorn mountain station; in summer and winter the mountain railways take you directly to Walmendingerhorn, Fellhorn and Kanzelwand. With your „Bergbahn-Spaß Unlimited" (free from May to November at participating houses) you enjoy unlimited rides with all open mountain railways in Oberstdorf and in the Kleinwalsertal. Your south balcony becomes the favourite spot – for sunrises, starry skies and quiet summit dreams.

Your Walser Lodge – arrive and feel at home

A holiday in the „Zwölferkopf" begins with lovingly prepared little things – in the living room children's toys await the first adventure break, and for allergy sufferers extra soft duvets are made up. After long days of hiking you relaxedly put the clothes into the washing machine and dryer and feel how the mountains bring their freshness into your everyday life too. When the sun goes down, you simply leave the WiFi off and enjoy the silence – perhaps with a warm cocoa or counting the stars at the window.

In winter you can reserve one of two garage spaces for your car (€8 per night), and for the smallest guests a changing mat and high chair are ready. In the morning you fetch breakfast at the Gasthof Alpenblick next door, in the evening regional home cooking awaits – uncomplicated and close by. With your digital Allgäu-Walser-Pass you use the WalserBus in the valley free of charge and are free to discover summits, hiking trails and villages in the Kleinwalsertal at any time. That is what a holiday feels like with real freedom – there, where the mountains become your favourite places.

You can combine your LuxusLodge „Zwölferkopf" as needed with the LuxusLodges „Elferkopf", „Widderstein", „Bärenkopf", „Hammerspitze" or „Ifen" – perfect for everyone who wants to relax together and still values privacy.

Your mountains are waiting – we from urlaubshuetten.com look forward to planning your time out in the Kleinwalsertal with you.
