A family and their holiday huts

The founders of Urlaubshuetten.com – Pauline, Daniel and Julia

We are Pauline, Julia and Daniel – a family from Tirol, grown up with wood underfoot and the mountains outside the door. We visit every hut ourselves and show you only those we would move into ourselves – honestly described, the cheese from the farm next door, the wood from the valley. Your money stays in the valley, where it belongs. And anyone who wants to place their hut in good hands is not an entry in a list with us, but someone we know personally. Get to know us

What our guests say

★★★★★

Schönes Häuschen in wundervoller Lage. Sonnige Terrasse, großartiger Rundum Ausblick ins Tal.

The hut and the farm

Holiday sustainably, enjoy regionally – and your money stays where you spend your holiday. Many of our hosts are farmers themselves.

Wood, eco cleaners, waste separationTheir own firewood, cleaners without chemicals, properly separated waste – sustainability you notice in everyday life.
From the farm next doorCheese, speck and honey fresh from the farmer or at the market round the corner – regional food with real taste.
Train & busMany huts can be reached entirely without a car – arrive relaxed and take a deep breath.
Honestly describedFirewood from the valley, a natural garden, solar power – for every hut we describe what makes it sustainable.

Shopping regionally – straight from the farm

Farm shops, farmers’ markets and the people behind them.

Frequently asked questions

Answered briefly and honestly – and if anything is left open, just give us a call. We are Pauline, Julia and Daniel.

Can I rent a hut with a dog?

Yes, many of our huts welcome dogs – you can filter for it specifically, and we will tell you what awaits you on the property. In houses marked as pet-free it is unfortunately not possible.

Are there huts in a secluded location – entirely to yourselves?

Yes, that is one of our specialities: huts without immediate neighbours, in the middle of nature. We mark them separately because that is exactly what many people are looking for.

Do you have huts with a sauna, hot tub or whirlpool?

Some of our huts and chalets have a sauna, hot pot or whirlpool. You will find them via the search, and we will help you choose the right one.

Can I book a hut over Christmas or New Year?

Yes – these dates in particular are in demand and booked early. Tell us the date you want and we will secure whatever is still free.

Are your huts self-catering – what is included?

Most are self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen; sauna, Wi-Fi or fireplace depending on the house. Exactly what is included is stated in every description.

Are there huts right on the slope (ski-in/ski-out)?

Yes, some are right on the slope. They are marked in the search – otherwise just ask us.

Can I travel without a car?

With many huts this works well: we mark places that are train-friendly and help you with the last few kilometres.

For how many people are there huts – for two as well as for large groups?

From a romantic little house for two to a large hut for the whole group – tell us how many of you there are and we will search accordingly.

What does a hut cost with you?

The price is stated with every place and depends on the house, the season and the length of stay. Everything about the deposit and payment is then in your booking confirmation.

Do I speak to you directly – and who is behind it?

Yes. We – Pauline, Julia and Daniel – guide you personally from the enquiry through to the booking. On site the hosts are there for you.

Are all places personally selected?

Yes, handpicked: real hosts, a special location, honest character. That is why you will not find hundreds of houses with us, but the ones we stand behind.

What makes you different from the big portals?

No anonymous mass market: a curated selection, personal advice, and booking and support with us - no call centre.

Do you have sustainable places to stay?

Yes – with a focus on regional character, good access (including by train) and hosts who treat their surroundings with care.

What we have put together for you here:

We – Pauline, Julia and Daniel – come from farming and know every one of our huts by name: rustic alpine huts, lovingly kept chalets and cosy farms – deliberately selected, personally inspected and recommended with a smile. Discover and book sustainable holiday huts in Austria now – simple, honest and with heart.

Sustainable hut holidays in Austria

Sustainability really matters to us: many of our huts have been family-owned for generations, manage their own forests, supply you with spring water and heat with wood straight from the Alps. You pick up fresh milk, cheese and herbs at the farm shop round the corner – a genuine farm-holiday feeling and regional character that is actually lived.

Real experiences in the mountains

Whether you are laughing in front of the crackling stove in the evening or catching the first ray of sun in the mist in the morning: it is about real experiences between summit and valley. Find your sustainable holiday hut now – full of charm, comfort and that true feeling of home.
