Ferienwohnung Alpenfamilienglück – where dog and horse are part of the family

Family apartment at the new horse farm in Gnadenwald · 5 people · 2 bedrooms · large terrace · dog welcome

📍 Austria · Tirol · Naturpark Karwendel · Gnadenwald · 🏔️ High plateau above the Inntal

There are not many holiday apartments in Tirol in which the dog is welcome AND the children can learn to ride. The holiday apartment „Alpenfamilienglück" at the new horse farm in Gnadenwald is one of them – high above the Inntal, with a view of the Karwendelgebirge, in the middle of the Naturpark Karwendel.

At the farm live horses, chickens, rabbits. Inside, you live. Outside, they live. The door in between may stand open all day. While the children watch the horses through the window, you prepare breakfast on the large terrace with a panoramic view . While your dog sniffs around the spacious garden, the rabbits hop through their run. While you sit on the lounge bench, your children learn their first steps with the horses.

Your host Jasmin offers riding lessons and guided rides right at the farm – on request and personally tailored family by family. Beginners get their first walk out on a calm pony, more advanced children the round ride through the Karwendel meadows. This is not a riding school with a lesson plan – this is riding with heart and time.

Inside: family on 80 m², two bedrooms, one kitchen-living room

In the morning family happiness awakens: dad and mum in the double bed of the first bedroom, the children in the children's bedroom with two single beds. With 5 people a third single bed is added – so everyone has their favourite place. The shared bathroom becomes the family meeting point before everyone gathers in the open kitchen-living room with a cosy seating corner .

The kitchen-living room is the heart of the apartment – modernly furnished, with everything a family needs for self-catering: oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, crockery for the whole troop. After days of hiking the seating corner invites you to play, draw and chat. The living area opens onto the large terrace, the second living room in summer.

Outside: playground, horses, chickens, dog walk – everything outside the door

Right at the farm: a playground for the little ones, plus a forest playground in the surrounding area – Tyrolean family standard, here all in one place. The large terrace with a panoramic view of the Inntal and the Karwendel summits becomes the breakfast spot, the lunch-break place, the sundowner meeting point. In the garden the chickens bustle between the children, the rabbits hop in their run, your dog has space to romp about.

In summer you set off on hikes, mountain bike tours or swimming trips to the Weisslahnbach straight from the farm. In winter the cross-country trail starts right at the horse farm – after a few steps you are on the groomed trail. The nearest ski areas Kolsassberg, Kellerjoch, Glungezer can be reached within 8–15 km. The Hinterhornalm toboggan run is 4 km away – full of curves and with an Inntal panorama.

Note: the Alpenfamilienglück apartment is the family variant at the horse farm. For smaller groups (2–3 people) there are the sister apartments Waldsicht and Pferdeheimat – also bookable in addition as an extension for larger families or friends.
