A chalet in Austria – what you get with us

Four houses that we know. Three stand in Neustift in the Stubai Valley, one at the Karwendel range in Tyrol. Each of them is yours alone for the length of your stay: your own kitchen, your own door, your own key. You book direct with us, and the host lives close enough to come round.

Chalet in the Stubai Valley

In Neustift, some 20 km south-west of Innsbruck, stand the three Slow Chalets Dream, Calm & Time at nearly 1,000 m. The Dream measures 65 m² for two to seven people and has its whirlpool on a roof terrace of its own. The Calm sits on the ground floor, 60 m² for four to six, with a garden and a heated jacuzzi house in it. The Time runs over two levels, 72 m² for up to six, with the jacuzzi right at the top.

All three share the 100 m² spa in the main house: Finnish sauna, steam bath, cold plunge with infrared cabin, hay bed & a quiet room. A breakfast basket and dinner come on request, the EV charger and the ski room are at the building. The Stubai Valley works in winter and in summer alike – a glacier at the head of the valley, alpine tracks from the front door.

Chalet at the Karwendel

Above Terfens, at 890 m, stands the Tiroler Huette: a chalet for exactly two people, 30 m², with a Swiss pine double bed & a private open-air whirlpool on the covered terrace. Three kilometres down to the village, in the middle of the Silberregion Karwendel.

What is the difference between a chalet and an alpine hut?

A chalet is usually bigger, newer & more comfortably fitted out than an original alpine hut. Both stand in the mountains, both are rented to you alone. If you want it rustic, our mountain cabins & alpine huts are the right place; if you want comfort, take the chalet.

Chalet with a whirlpool in Tyrol

Every one of our four chalets comes with a whirlpool or jacuzzi, heated all year: three of them on a roof terrace or in a private garden in Neustift, one on the terrace of the Tiroler Huette at the Karwendel. Across all our types of accommodation, eleven places are additionally marked with a sauna.

An alpine chalet for two – or for the whole party?

The Tiroler Huette was built for two; 13 of our places carry the marking „For two“. In the Stubai Valley it gets bigger – Chalet Dream takes up to seven people. If you are coming as a larger party, a holiday house takes up to ten and a holiday apartment up to eight.

Austria chalet holidays in winter

All four chalets are bookable through the winter as well. If skiing is what you are after, look at our ski chalets in Austria – 20 of our 29 places are marked as ski and toboggan huts, chalets, cabins and apartments alike.
