We know every hut ourselves. We go there, take the photos, look at the surroundings and talk to the hosts. So you know what's behind it, we write it down here.
01 · How we work
We describe every accommodation as it is
Honestly – and above all in a way that shows what makes it special. That's why we go there. We take the photos ourselves instead of adopting pictures taken ten years ago. We look at the surroundings so we can name excursion destinations and tips that are really accurate.
And we talk to the hosts. About the farm, about the animals, about what's currently happening in the course of the year. Much of what ends up in the description you only learn this way – and not from a form.

03 · Working together
We work at eye level – or not at all
An accommodation only joins us if it fits for both sides. For the host and for us. We don't dictate to anyone how to run their business, and we take on nothing we couldn't recommend to guests in good conscience.
What we can say: we were there. We say what's there, and we say what makes the hut special. We don't have a seal or a points system – a seal is only worth as much as the auditing behind it, and as long as we don't have one we would take seriously ourselves, we prefer to claim nothing.

Frequently asked questions
Do you take on every accommodation that gets in touch?
No. We deliberately broker few properties and also decline – usually because we wouldn't recommend the accommodation ourselves or because the collaboration doesn't fit for both sides.
Are the photos yours?
Yes, we photograph ourselves. So you see the accommodation as it looks today, and not in a visual style that has nothing to do with the place.
Do hosts pay to be listed?
No. There is no sign-up fee and no upfront costs. Details are on Become a host.
Why don't you have a sustainability seal?
Because a seal is only worth as much as the auditing behind it. As long as we don't have one we would take seriously ourselves, we prefer to claim nothing – and instead write individually with each accommodation what makes it what it is.
