Flying tandem above the valley

Up with the lift, a few running steps, then the canopy carries you – and beneath you lies the whole Zillertal. You do not need to know how to fly: on a tandem flight you sit at the front and look, the pilot behind you does the rest.

Good to know

Four things worth knowing about the Zillertal

What helps when you plan – short and honest.

01

Today we simply stay on the alp

That is a good day on the Breitberg too: stove lit, cards on the table, meadow all around. The nearest place to eat is up on the high alpine road.

02

The Zillertal high alpine road

This toll road runs past the alpine pastures and is the quickest way to a view and a bite to eat – in winter parts of it are closed depending on the section.

03

Secluded means checking the drive

In summer you drive right up to the hut; in winter the last stretch can carry snow. We tell you honestly before you book what to expect.

04

A valley for every kind of weather

The Zillertal adventure spa, the Zillertalbahn with its steam train and the FeuerWerk wood experience world all lie down in the valley – good for grey days.

Getting there

How to reach the Zillertal

TRAIN

Jenbach and the Zillertalbahn

Railjets stop in Jenbach; from there the Zillertalbahn runs to Fuegen, in summer also with a steam train.

CAR

A12, Zillertal exit

From the motorway it is around 20 minutes to Fuegenberg. In winter please use winter tyres.

ON SITE

Ski bus and hiking bus

Buses run in the valley between the villages and the valley stations; the high alpine road is reached by car.
