Alpenglück-LuxusLodge "Widderstein"

Family apartment with a view of the Großer Widderstein · 70 m² · 4–6 people · all year round · pet-free

📍 Austria · Vorarlberg · Kleinwalsertal · 🏔️ Allgäuer Alpen

The Großer Widderstein is 2,533 metres high and is one of the most striking mountain massifs of the Kleinwalsertal – a landmark that can be seen from many apartments. But only one apartment carries its name: the Alpenglück-LuxusLodge Widderstein in the Walser Lodge, high up in the attic storey, with a south-west balconythat catches the sun from midday until sunset. The view falls on Mittelberg, the Bärenkopf and – of course – on the Widderstein itself.

On 70 m² up to 6 people find space – two bedrooms, a bathroom with a double washbasin plus a separate WC, an open living and dining area with the familiar Bulthaup kitchen and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. More compact than the 80 m² sister apartments of the lodge, but with the most prominent mountain view: the mountain whose name is on the door.

Inside: Bulthaup kitchen, two bedrooms, an extra WC

The open living and dining area is the stage of the apartment: Bulthaup kitchen (premium brand), dining table, sofa, plus the view through the floor-to-ceiling window front onto the Widderstein. Two bedrooms with high-quality double beds without a foot rail – the duvets are extra long (220 cm), comfortable for tall sleepers too. Bathroom with shower, WC, double washbasin plus a separate WC – ideal for families or two couples. Satellite TV, WiFi, oiled wooden floors throughout the apartment.

Outside: south-west balcony with a view of the Widderstein

The south-west balcony is generously proportioned, with high-quality balcony furniture. Here you get sun from midday until sunset – ideal for late breakfasts, afternoon coffee and sundowners with a mountain view. The view extends over Mittelberg, the Bärenkopf and of course the Großer Widderstein with its 2,533 metres. In summer the light wanders across the slopes, in winter the snowfields gleam in the evening red.

Note: the Walser Lodge has six holiday apartments under one roof. The Widderstein is the compact 70 m² variant with a south-west balcony and 2 bedrooms – ideal for families with children or two couples. The sister apartments Bärenkopf, Hammerspitze, Elferkopf, Zwölferkopf and the Ifen loft are bookable on request.

South-west balcony with a view of the Widderstein - the Alpenglück luxury lodge apartment with the most prominent name.

How many people does the Alpenglück Lodge sleep?

Up to six, with a south-west balcony and a view of the Widderstein.

When is the best time to come?

All year round – in summer several mountain lifts are included via the Allgäu-Walser-Pass, and in winter the Kleinwalsertal-Oberstdorf ski area is on the doorstep.

Can I reach the Kleinwalsertal without a car?

Yes. The WalserBus stops outside the door and is included via the Allgäu-Walser-Pass. If you want a place in the Kleinwalsertal without a car, this is it – arrive, park once, leave the car standing.

Is a sauna included?

Yes, the panorama sauna of the Walser Lodge is included for guests. It is shared between the lodges – so it is not a private sauna inside the apartment.

Are dogs allowed?

No. The lodges in the Kleinwalsertal are pet-free, which also makes them suitable for allergy sufferers. For a hut that takes dogs, look at our places in Tyrol, Salzburg, Carinthia and Lower Austria.
