There are two ways to fall asleep in the Sternenhütte. On the snug bunk bed downstairs, with the creaking of the wood that awakens alpine childhood-bedroom memories. Or upstairs, on the gallery, in the mattress dormitory under the illuminated starry skythat does not come from a projector but that Maria lovingly put on the ceiling. And in the morning you step onto the balcony and look at the Karwendelgebirgewaiting opposite – for thousands of years already.

The Sternenhütte am Kolsassberg is a Tyrolean holiday apartment with a character of its own. On 35 m² for up to 5 people – that works for families (two adults, three children), for couples with friends, for small groups of adults who want to experience Tirol together. Dog included. Maria, your host, knows every hike in the region and helps if you ask.

On the ground floor the bright seating corner for the whole family awaits – with the dining table that allows a view all around, and the bunk bed that looks towards the kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen has everything for a shared meal: oven, stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, crockery for five. The wooden stairs lead up to the gallery with the mattress dormitory under the glowing starry sky. Modern bathroom with a generous shower and WC. WiFi, heating, bed linen and towels included.

The balcony is the small stage of the Sternenhütte – with garden chairs, the first sun in the morning and the Karwendel directly opposite. Hiking trails begin at the entrance to the house: up into the Tuxer Alpen, down into the Inntal. And in winter? You reach the ski slope of the family ski area Hoferlift on foot – straight from the door. Parking space at the house. Dog welcome.

Kolsassberg is a small village with a great location. Hall in Tirol you reach in 12 minutes, the Swarovski Kristallwelten Wattens in 10, the Schwaz silver mine in 10, Innsbruck in 25. In summer the Weißlahn bathing lake awaits 6 km away, in winter Glungezer, Kellerjoch and the house's own Hoferlift are within reach. The Biosennerei s'Feine in Kolsass is 2.9 km away – fresh organic products from the region.
